rockstars need jesus too…

it’s been raining a lot in hk….whenever i go home i have to walk down this slope with a miniforest next to the sidewalk. when it’s wet, all these snails crawl out. snails are really cool. they’re so chill, so slow. so vulnerable. their shells always have beautiful designs on it. most of the ones i’ve seen are spiral. i look at that and i see the beauty of God. life is so complex, every little feature so intricatedly detailed and specific. a creator just makes sense.

i’m definately enjoying an uphill phase with God lately. sunday service was amazing. i really met God there yesterday. you step into the auditorium, the music, the people, the message, everything at that moment seemed to be what my soul wanted. i felt a stirring inside of me and im sure it aint bowel movements. it was in my heart. i got goosebumps too. when i was in my skeptical phase, i used to think ‘im just cold, thats why i got these goosebumps’. i was resisting, denying the idea of a holy spirit. but it was the holy spirit, it was god’s presence falling upon me. it was so real.

still working on my thesis. quite screwed. supervisor wants me to finish the whole draft in a month. experiments will take 3 weeks. i can’t write 50+ pages in a week! at least in the declaration, i could stick a bible verse in there.

lakers won game 5. man i wish they’d win it, but it doesnt look good. i wouldnt mind the celtics winning if sam cassell wasn’t on the team. man he’s so whiny. kobe’s already won it so i wouldnt really care that much. cassell also has a ring or two, but i dont want him to get another one.

a couple of years back korn lead guitarist brian welch found Jesus. i didn’t really keep track of that story, but recently i saw some of his interviews. it’s amazing what the power of God can do. a beautiful testimony from a prodigal son. it reminds me of the scripture in Matthew 16:26 ‘What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?’
