exam lag

still can’t sleep at night, still get tired in the afternoon. went to bed at 2, woke up at 3:30….. i can’t fix it, i already stayed awake during the afternoon…

still have so much work…i’ve read like 20 papers and i still have 20 more to go…
can’t really focus anymore…after 2 hard exams, i lost the motivation to study for the last ‘easier’ exam…and now i have even less motivation to work on my thesis.

haven’t touched my guitar for so long. hk is such a bad place for guitars. it’s so humid, all my strings are rusting exponentially. humidity sucks. everything is moist it’s disgusting. my bedsheets, blanket, pillow…so moist. u can turn on the dehumidifier which makes an irritating low pitch engine noise. humidity also sucks because everything gets sticky too. so dust just accumulates so much quicker on things. if wipe a dusty black surface on monday, by wednesday all the dust is back. humidity also sucks because i suspect it provides a better environment for germs to grow/survive. everythings so moist and warm, especially if it rains. that’s probably why i get sick much more frequently in hk and why i keep on sneezing in the morning.

hk has been more strict about wearing safety belts on public transport. a month ago, a cop dressed in casual clothes boarded the minibus my grandma was on. the bus driver, recognising her, reminded us to wear safety belts. being the typical hk citizens, everybody ignored him. the only person who listened was my grandma. so the driver drove and when he reached a red light the cop told him to pull over to the side. there, the cop fined everybody (maybe $300 hk) and wrote down everybody’s id card number. my grandma was the only one who didn’t get fined because she behaved like a good citizen. so proud of her!

so today i was on the minibus and a caucasian man sat next to me. remembering about the fining, i wanted to put on my safety belt. unfortunately, this man was so wide, he was sitting on the hole where the safety belt can be pulled out from. what a dilemma….should i ask him to move? or should i not wear it and risk getting fined. if i asked him to move, i would inconvenient him and i would have to touch the safety belt which he sat on. since it was raining, i chose not to wear the safety belt. cops probably won’t stay out to punish citizens when its raining so hard i told myself.
